Bracket: Spreader

Efficient tangent support of Triplex Secondary conductors is provided by this SLACAN designed Spreader Bracket. Made for a special Dry Process porcelain Insulator (Sold Separately - CAT#1751) mounted on a .625 inch (15.9 mm) double shoulder stud bolt. The top insulator groove supports the bare neutral (maximum O.D. .625 inches (15.9 mm)) which is held securely by a flat steel retainer. A rubber washer provides a cushion between the retainer and insulator. The insulator assembly is secured by a No. 7502 Eye Nut which serves as an attachment for service drops. A flat section between the shoulders of the stud bolt allows use of a wrench during installation. A square nut and washer are included. Three grooves in the bottom of the insulator hold the power conductors (maximum O.D. .625 inches (15.9 mm)) which may be fastened with tie wires. A minimum clearance of .5 inch (12.7 mm) is maintained between the pole and the nearest point of the insulator.
