The manufacturing process has undergone significant changes over the years. Industries from all sectors demand quality and consistency in the materials they order. And the manufacturers themselves strive for consistency, cost certainty and efficiency in the products they create for their customers.

Building on its 100-year commitment to providing quality pole line hardware, Slacan has entirely transformed its manufacturing processes. These investments have brought top-of-the-line technology and expertise to the hundreds of custom products it produces for clients across the communication and utilities industries.

The Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), supported this modernization by supporting the implementation of new auto forging hammers. “These hammers help us meet customers’ requirements for hardware that meet the most demanding specifications, consistently and reliably,” notes Tom Lepera, Director of Sales at Slacan. It has allowed us to ramp up production and seamlessly integrate the entire manufacturing process.”
