Slacan’s Quality Assurance Testing Lab is where our well-earned reputation as a leader in developing components of the highest standards of excellence is forged. The current quality assurance lab – launched in 2020 – offers many new and exciting capabilities that help us meet our customers’ most challenging requirements.  Among the expanded capabilities are:
 

• Vertical Universal Tensile/Compression Tester (2000 kN / 450 kip)
• Horizontal Longbed Tensile/Compression Tester (2000 kN / 450 kip)
• Electronic Charpy Impact Tester (500 J)
• Charpy Specimen Motorized Milling Machine (4 specimens in 20 minutes)
• Low Temperature Chiller for Charpy specimen conditioning (up to -100°C)
• Computer-controlled Hardness Testers:

• Optical Emission Spectrometer (Arc/Spark-OES) with reference standards for:
  • AISI/SAE 1010, 1018, 1045, 1541, 4140, 8620
